What is EnerBurn ?

While generally referred to as a diesel fuel additive, EnerTeck Corporation's diesel fuel specific combustion catalyst, EnerBurn™ actually functions as an engine treatment application. The catalyst is delivered to the engine via the fuel. EnerBurn forms a non-hazardous, nano scale catalytic surface on the diesel combustion chamber and piston heads. The buildup of carbon within the combustion chamber of a diesel engine can generate greater exhaust opacity and increased engine wear. Over time these carbon deposits can cause piston rings to stick, reducing compression and subsequently decreasing engine efficiency.

EnerBurn lowers the combustion temperature of carbon and accelerates the oxidation process, which enhances the burn rate of diesel fuel in the engine. This causes combustion to occur earlier in the stroke cycle, which increases pressure during the power stroke resulting in either more power or increased fuel efficiency. The excess carbon is burned off before the exhaust stroke, substantially reducing exhaust smoke, keeping the engine cleaner and lowering NOx emissions by an average of 12%.

It takes approximately three months for EnerBurn to reach its peak catalytic coating under normal dosage and use. Once formed, the catalytic coating deposited in the engine burn cavities will eventually be oxidized and removed. The EnerBurn is continually replenished via the diesel fuel.

Prolonged engine life has also been observed in field tests with Consolidated Freightways.
